Single Mom Helps Lost Boy at Airport — Hours Later, She Meets His Billionaire Father…

A Lost Boy in the Chaos of JFK

The airport was a symphony of chaos. Suitcases bumped across the tiled floor. Overhead announcements echoed through terminals and travelers rushed from gate to gate like they were racing the clock.

Among the thousands of passengers at JFK International Airport that afternoon, one stood still and alone. He was about six years old with freckles on his cheeks and a red backpack dangling from one shoulder.

His eyes were filled with fear as he scanned the sea of strangers. “Dad,” he whispered. “Dad.”

But his voice was drowned out by the noise. In that vast airport, as the world rushed by, no one seemed to notice the lost little boy.

No one except for Hannah. Hannah Jenkins had her own problems.

A single mom from Ohio, she was heading back home after a job interview in New York. That had ended with a polite rejection and a plastic smile.

She had her 18-month-old daughter, Lily, perched on her hip. A diaper bag was slung across her shoulder.

She had just enough money in her account to get through the day. She was tired, hungry, and heartbroken.

She just wanted to get on her flight and go home. But something about the boy stopped her.
