My Husband Secretly Married Another Woman — So I Went Undercover At His Company To Destroy Them Both

Part 1

I stood outside Horizon Tech headquarters with my legs shaking beneath me.

The security guard pointed across the parking lot, and his words echoed in my head like a gunshot.

“There he is, coming out right now with his wife,” the guard said quietly.

I turned my head slowly, my heart pounding so hard I could hear it in my ears.

And then I saw him.

Craig, my husband of eight years, the father of my two young children.

He was walking out of the glass doors with his arm wrapped tightly around a younger woman’s waist.

She was tall and beautiful, wearing a cream-colored dress that hugged her body perfectly.

She laughed at something Craig said.

He looked at her like she was the only person in the entire world.

He leaned down and kissed her forehead with a tenderness he hadn’t shown me in years.

I felt like someone had reached into my chest and squeezed my heart until it simply stopped beating.

I couldn’t breathe.

I just stood there, watching my whole life fall apart in front of my eyes.

The security guard was still talking to me, but I couldn’t hear him anymore.

Everything sounded far away, like I was buried deep underwater.

I watched Craig open the passenger door of his luxury car for this strange woman.

She slid inside gracefully, like she had done it a thousand times before.

He walked around to the driver’s side and smiled back at the building before getting in.

He had no idea I was watching him destroy everything we had built together from nothing.

My legs finally gave out, and I grabbed the edge of the security desk to keep from collapsing.

Let me go back to where this absolute nightmare actually started.

Two weeks before that terrible moment outside the office, Craig came home late again.

For the past two years, he had been coming home past midnight almost every single night.

Work was always his go-to excuse.

He claimed the company was growing rapidly and he had endless deals to close.

I always believed him because this was the man I fell in love with when he had absolutely nothing.

When I met Craig, he was just a struggling accountant working out of a cramped office.

He wore the same three cheap suits every week and drove a car that barely started.

But he had massive dreams, and I supported him through all of it.

I worked two exhausting jobs just so he could save enough money to start his own company.

Horizon Tech eventually became huge, and Craig became a powerful CEO.

We moved into a massive house in a wealthy neighborhood, and we had everything we ever wanted.

But somewhere along the way to the top, I completely lost my husband.

That Tuesday night, Craig walked in around eleven o’clock looking exhausted.

When he walked past me, I smelled heavy, expensive perfume clinging to his shirt like a ghost.

The next morning, I found a receipt from an exclusive downtown jewelry store in his jacket pocket.

He had purchased a diamond bracelet that cost more than my first car.

Our anniversary was coming up, so I desperately convinced myself it had to be a surprise gift for me.

Then my mother Betty came to visit us for the weekend.

She sat with me in the kitchen while Craig was at work, studying me with her sharp eyes.

“Something ain’t right in this house,” she warned me softly.

The next Friday, Craig called to cancel our anniversary dinner due to an emergency board meeting.

I sat at the kitchen table and cried silently after hanging up the phone.

That was the exact moment I decided to surprise him at the office the next day.

I spent an hour picking out a blue dress he used to love and bought his favorite steak sandwich.

I walked into the massive glass lobby and approached a kind-looking security guard named Dan.

I smiled and told Dan I was Craig’s wife here to surprise him with lunch.

Dan looked completely confused before quietly explaining that Craig’s wife had just gone upstairs thirty minutes ago.

He pointed toward the elevator just as the doors opened.

That’s when I saw Craig walk out with the younger woman wearing the diamond bracelet from the receipt.

The bag of food slipped from my fingers, spilling steak and fries across the pristine marble floor.

Craig glanced at the mess with disgust, completely failing to recognize me in his own lobby.

I watched them drive away together while Dan called for someone to clean up my shattered lunch.

Something cold and hard settled in my chest, pushing down the panic and clearing my mind entirely.

I wasn’t going to cause a scene or confront him crying.

I turned back to Dan, faked an embarrassed laugh, and asked for an employment application instead.

I applied using my maiden name and was hired as an administrative assistant two floors below Craig’s executive suite.

I dyed my hair dark brown, put on thick fake glasses, and became someone else entirely.

I quickly learned the beautiful woman was Brenda, his executive assistant who everyone treated like absolute royalty.

One night, I snuck into the breakroom and found company photos pinned to a hidden bulletin board.

I pulled out the pictures with trembling hands.

It was Craig in a dark tuxedo standing beside Brenda in a white wedding dress.

I stood in that breakroom staring at my own husband’s wedding photos to another woman, and that’s when I realized: Craig wasn’t just cheating on me, he was trying to erase me completely.
