My Sister Told Her Husband Our Family Was Dead — Until I Got Hired At His Boss’s Mansion

Part 1
Six years ago, my own flesh and blood threw me away like garbage.
My older sister, Megan, was marrying into serious wealth.
Her fiancé, Greg, came from a long line of money and prestige.
Instead of asking me to be her bridesmaid, Megan sat me down two nights before the ceremony.
Pressing a heavy hotel room key into my palm, my sister refused to even look me in the eye.
Megan coldly explained that she had already informed her new husband that our parents were killed in a tragic car crash.
Without a shred of remorse, she added that her only sister had died during childbirth years ago.
I stared at her, my throat tight.
I asked her why she would utter such a horrific lie.
She sighed, adjusting her expensive silk scarf.
She said I lacked the class to mingle with her new family.
She said our sick mother, Helen, would only embarrass her.
She didn’t want my poverty staining her perfect new life.
She paid for me to stay at a luxury hotel for the weekend just to keep me far away from the wedding venue.
I was completely shattered.
That night in the hotel, I ordered drinks to the room.
I had never really touched alcohol before.
I drank until my vision blurred, trying to numb the crushing weight of being erased by the only family I had left.
Stumbling down the long hallway, my completely disoriented mind betrayed me.
Pushing open a heavy wooden door, I mistakenly thought I had found my suite.
The massive room was pitch black.
Exhaustion took over as my heavy body collapsed onto the soft mattress.
That was the chaotic night I unknowingly sought comfort in the arms of a complete stranger in the dark.
I woke up before dawn, terrified and confused.
I grabbed my clothes and fled before the sun came up.
I never saw his face.
Three months later, the nausea hit.
I was pregnant.
When I reached out to Megan for help, she blocked my number.
I gave birth to a beautiful boy named Cody.
I raised him entirely alone in a tiny, damp apartment.
I worked as a cleaner by night and a receptionist by day.
Every spare dollar went toward my mother’s medications.
We barely survived, but we had each other.
Megan lived in a sprawling estate across the city, completely ignoring us.
Recently, my mother’s illness worsened.
I needed more money than I could ever make scrubbing floors at the local clinic.
Desperate, I signed up with an elite domestic agency.
They placed me as a live-in maid at a massive mansion.
The owner was a notoriously private billionaire CEO named Tyler.
Ironically, Tyler’s corporation was the exact same company where Greg worked as a regional manager.
I moved into the servant’s quarters with Cody.
The pay was incredible.
For the first time in years, I could breathe.
But almost immediately, something bizarre started happening.
Whenever Cody saw Tyler walking through the grand hallways, he would run up to him.
Cody would point his little finger and call him “Dad.”
I was absolutely mortified.
I snatched my son back and apologized profusely.
I assumed Cody was just desperate for a father figure.
Tyler was surprisingly gentle about it.
He told me not to worry.
He even started spending time with Cody in the gardens.
One afternoon, I was serving coffee in the boardroom.
Tyler and his executives were stressing over a failing product launch for budget-friendly diapers.
I paused near the mahogany table.
I quietly mentioned how low-income mothers in my neighborhood bought diapers.
I suggested a simple packaging change that would make the product infinitely more accessible.
Tyler stopped talking.
He stared at me, his sharp eyes analyzing my face.
He immediately appointed me as a junior strategist on the project.
I was finally making enough money to afford my mother’s best treatments.
But Tyler had a massive secret of his own.
He had recently hired private investigators.
He was desperately trying to find a woman he spent one unforgettable night with six years ago.
The hotel room had been booked under Megan’s name.
The investigators assumed Megan was his mystery woman.
Tyler tracked her down a few weeks ago.
He gave her a massive check for one hundred thousand dollars as a bizarre “thank you” gift for that night.
Megan greedily took the money.
She opened a secret bank account to hide it from Greg.
She never bothered to correct Tyler’s mistake.
Yesterday, Tyler decided to host an intimate dinner party for his top executives.
Greg was on the guest list.
That meant he was bringing his wife.
Megan had absolutely no idea I worked here.
Tyler assigned me to serve drinks in the main dining hall.
When the doorbell chimed, I stood at attention near the entrance.
Greg walked in first, shaking Tyler’s hand firmly.
Then Megan stepped through the grand doorway, draped in heavy diamonds.
Our eyes locked across the marble foyer.
The color drained from her face so fast she looked sick.
I gripped my silver serving tray, my knuckles turning white.
Greg turned around to hand me his coat.
He stopped dead in his tracks.
He stared at my face.
He looked at his trembling wife.
He looked back at me.
“Megan,” Greg whispered, his voice trembling with confusion. “Why does the maid look exactly like your dead sister?”
