My Brother Executed The Most Chilling Comeback Against An Entitled Mother

Part 1

Greg was born with dwarfism and stands exactly three feet and eight inches tall.

I spent my entire childhood watching people stare at him.

We grew up fielding whispered comments from strangers in grocery stores and parking lots.

Kids would constantly point at him and ask their parents if he shrank in the wash.

I always wanted to scream at them.

Greg would usually just burst out laughing and brush it off.

He possessed this impenetrable armor of patience that I never understood.

People constantly asked to take selfies with him like he was a tourist attraction.

He always complied with a polite smile.

I hated how accommodating he was.

I felt like he was letting them win.

My perspective shifted entirely during our family trip to the amusement park.

The summer heat was oppressive that afternoon.

We stood near the teacup ride trying to catch a breeze.

I noticed a boy staring at us from a few yards away.

The child pointed a sticky finger directly at Greg’s chest.

He shouted out asking where his costume was and why he wasn’t with snow white.

My jaw clenched instantly.

Greg merely offered a gentle smile.

I looked up expecting the mother to correct her son.

The woman stood there laughing along with him.

She pushed a stroller back and forth with a smirk on her face.

I heard her congratulate the boy on his joke.

My fingernails dug crescent moons into my palms.

I grabbed Greg’s shoulder to steer him away from the area.

We walked toward the churro stand to escape the tension.

The sound of her obnoxious laughter followed us.

I glanced over my shoulder.

The woman was intentionally trailing behind us.

The boy yelled out that Greg was a real life munchkin.

A small crowd of tourists turned to look at us.

Several teenagers snickered behind their hands.

I could see a faint flush creeping up Greg’s neck.

His armor was finally starting to crack.

I spun around and marched directly up to the mother.

I demanded she get her child under control.

I asked her what kind of person raises their kid to be so cruel.

She took a step back in feigned shock.

Her eyes darted around at the spectators.

She crossed her arms and told me that at least she didn’t have genetics.

She suggested Greg should walk on peg legs if he didn’t want to be laughed at.

A collective gasp echoed from the people standing nearby.

No one could believe those words actually left her mouth.

Greg tugged quietly at the hem of my shirt.

He muttered that he was done and just wanted to leave.

I planted my feet firmly on the concrete.

There was absolutely no way I was letting her walk away from this.

She raised her voice and told the crowd to back up.

She yelled that they didn’t want Greg to bite their ankles.

The sheer volume of her screeching caught the attention of a park supervisor.

A man in a crisp uniform approached our circle.

He informed her sternly that hate speech was not tolerated on the premises.

He instructed her to gather her children and leave immediately without a refund.

The woman’s demeanor shifted in a fraction of a second.

Her arrogant sneer vanished completely.

She stammered that she was only joking around.

She gestured toward Greg and claimed he wasn’t even upset.

The little boy chimed in blaming the little dude for looking funny.

The mother suddenly dropped her supportive act.

She commanded her son to apologize right then and there.

I stood there holding my breath.

I honestly believed she was going to face the consequences of her actions.

I thought she might actually model decent behavior for once.

The younger child in the stroller abruptly woke up from his nap.

He realized they were being kicked out and erupted into ear-piercing screams.

He thrashed against his buckles shouting that he didn’t want to leave.

The sheer humiliation finally broke the mother’s thin veneer of compliance.

She glared at Greg with pure venom in her eyes.

She pointed directly at him for the entire crowd to see.

She told her screaming toddler that Greg was actually one of santa’s elves.

She announced he was there watching all the kids to see who would make the naughty list.

She warned her son to be quiet or the elf would punish him.

Several bystanders lost their composure and laughed out loud.

I balled my hands into fists.

Then Greg stepped forward, his expression completely unreadable, and looked down at the child.
