He Gave Up His First-Class Seat for Two Little Girls — Then Discovered Their Mom Owned the Airline…

A Choice and a Long Journey

Moments later, Daniel approached the gate agent. “Hi, I’d like to give up our first class seats for the lady and her daughters.”

The agent blinked. “Sir, that’s a significant downgrade.”

Daniel shrugged. “Sometimes the right thing isn’t the most comfortable one.”

The mother looked stunned. “Are you sure? I… I don’t even know what to say.”

Daniel just nodded. “Don’t worry about it. Safe travels.”

The flight was long. Max dozed off with his head on Daniel’s shoulder, their knees crammed behind the tray table.

Daniel gazed out the window, thinking about Bill’s waiting back home, his mom’s hospital treatment, and how exhausted he felt. But inside there was peace. Quiet, simple peace.

When they finally landed, the flight attendant approached their row before anyone else could stand. “Mr. Harper, we need you and your son to follow me please.”

Daniel blinked. “Is something wrong?”

The attendant smiled. “Not at all.”

They were guided past security into a sleek private terminal area where a sharply dressed man with an earpiece greeted them.

“Mr. Harper, please wait here. Someone would like to speak with you.”
