My Ex Demanded Child Support After Cheating—But She Still Won’t Prove the Kid Is Mine
Red Flags and the Shifting Marriage
My ex demanded child support after cheating, but she still won’t prove the kid is mine. I let the judge handle it. Hello Reddit i plus here.
This whole mess started 3 years ago and I’m still trying to make sense of what happened. I, 31 million, was married to a woman named Clare, now 29 ft.
We were together for a little over 2 years when everything unraveled. Clare and I met through mutual friends at a birthday party.
She was outgoing, confident, and had this loud infectious laugh that pulled people in. I was the quieter type, always observing.
Somehow we clicked. I fell fast.
She made me feel like I’d finally met someone who chose me, not someone settling. We moved in together after 6 months and got married at the 1-year mark.
People said it was fast, but everything felt right. Or at least that’s what I told myself.
Looking back, there were definitely red flags I ignored. She was flirty, very flirty with other guys even in front of me.
But she’d say, “Relax i’m just being friendly.” Or, “You’re insecure babe that’s no t hot.”
I’d swallow it every time because I didn’t want to seem controlling or clingy. About 8 months into the marriage, things started to shift.
She began going out more. There were late dinners with co-workers and weekend trips with her girlfriends.
She went on yoga retreats that didn’t allow phones. When she was home, she was cold, short-tempered, and distant.
I asked if something was wrong and every time I did I got gas lit. I was paranoid, obsessed, and making things up.
