My Favorite Teacher Tried To Frame Me For Cheating — Until I Exposed His Dark Secret
Part 2
The tension in Principal Miller’s office was suffocating, thick enough to cut with a dull knife.
I didn’t back down, keeping my eyes locked firmly on Mr. Harrison’s increasingly pale face.
“I want to see the grade change logs,” I said, my voice eerily calm despite the adrenaline surging through my veins.
“For all of Mr. Harrison’s classes, going back for the entire academic year.”
The room went completely, utterly dead silent.
You could have heard a single pin drop on the cheap carpet.
Mr. Harrison let out a sharp, incredulous laugh that echoed harshly off the wood-paneled walls.
He scoffed at the mention of grade change logs, shaking his head dramatically as if I had just suggested something entirely unhinged.
“This is absolutely ridiculous, he’s just deflecting because he finally got caught red-handed.”
He looked toward the other two teachers standing by the door for support, playing the exhausted victim of a desperate student’s wild accusations.
But Principal Miller wasn’t looking at me anymore.
Her sharp eyes were locked onto Brian, observing the way his hands were trembling uncontrollably in his lap.
“Brian,” she said, her voice softer now, entirely lacking the clinical edge she had used on me just minutes earlier.
“Is there something you want to tell me about this exam?”
Mr. Harrison stepped swiftly between the principal and the terrified teenager, his body language aggressively defensive.
“These kids will say absolutely anything to avoid facing the consequences of their own actions,” he said quickly, his words tumbling awkwardly over each other.
“You know exactly how they are, Miller, they’ll drag anyone down with them if they think it’ll buy them a lighter punishment.”
“I didn’t ask you,” Principal Miller snapped, her patience clearly evaporating.
Her voice had a dangerous, razor-sharp edge to it now, a clear warning that made even the other teachers in the room straighten their posture immediately.
She stood up slowly from her heavy desk and walked around to the front, crossing her arms tightly over her chest.
She completely ignored Mr. Harrison’s frantic sputtering and focused her entire attention on the shrinking boy in the chair.
Brian’s mouth opened, then closed silently like a fish out of water.
His eyes were glossy, welling up with heavy tears he was fighting desperately to hold back.
Dan suddenly shifted in his seat, the rhythmic, frantic bouncing of his leg finally coming to an abrupt halt.
He looked up from the floor, his jaw set in a hard line of sudden, unexpected defiance.
I could see the exact moment he realized that protecting their supplier was no longer worth the massive risk of going down alone.
He reached into the pocket of his hoodie and slowly pulled out his smartphone, unlocking the bright screen with a trembling thumb.
He didn’t look at me, and he didn’t look at his furious, panicking history teacher.
He looked directly at the principal, waiting for her permission to speak.
The silence stretched on for what felt like an eternity as everyone in the room waited for the dam to finally break.
Mr. Harrison’s perfectly composed mask was slipping rapidly, revealing the raw, ugly panic simmering just underneath the surface.
Principal Miller turned her sharp, calculating gaze back to the three trembling students lined up against the wall.
Where did the answer sheet really come from?
