My Mother Demanded Both My Kidneys For My Brother — And Destroyed Her Own Life Trying To Force Me

Part 2

I gripped my car keys tightly, refusing to back down from her deranged threat.

I reminded her that Craig was not going to die anytime soon.

He was receiving dialysis three times a week, a common treatment that could sustain him for decades.

Brenda threw her arms wildly in the air, her face turning crimson at the very comparison of her perfect son to ordinary patients.

She slammed her hand against the concrete pillar, aggressively waving off my words while dramatically gesturing to convey his potential dialysis as a horrible existence.

I stared right back at her.

I pointed out that she was demanding I go on dialysis instead of him.

Brenda actually nodded in agreement.

She crossed her arms tightly over her chest, jutting her chin forward as if sacrificing my entire future was simply the obvious duty of a true sister.

Her eyes narrowed defensively, aggressively pointing her finger to completely dismiss any mention of his relentless drinking.

Just then, Brian, the hospital security guard, rounded the corner.

Someone must have reported the screaming echoing through the concrete walls.

Brian instantly recognized Brenda from the hospital’s security watchlist.

Stepping directly between us, the guard shielded me from her erratic movements while firmly ordering her to leave the premises immediately.

Threatening to call the police if she did not comply right that second, his stern voice showed absolutely no room for negotiation.

Brenda glared at me like I had committed the ultimate betrayal before slowly backing away, her shoes clicking loudly on the pavement.

Retreating ten feet, she suddenly turned back with pure fury in her eyes and threw a violent hand gesture in my direction to curse my future when Craig eventually died.

Brian completely blocked her view of me, standing entirely silent until she finally walked away and started her car.

Once she was gone, the guard escorted me the rest of the way to my vehicle and advised me to radically alter my schedule.

I drove home on pure autopilot, my hands gripping the steering wheel tight enough to turn my knuckles white.

Tyler immediately noticed my panicked state when I walked through the apartment door.

I explained the terrifying encounter in the parking garage.

Tyler pulled out his phone and revealed he had already contacted an attorney on my behalf.

We met with Greg, the lawyer, the very next afternoon.

We presented him with our massive folder of documented harassment.

Greg reviewed the terrifying text messages, the hospital security reports, and the police records.

He confidently stated we had an incredibly strong case for a restraining order.

The sheer volume of documented escalation proved my physical safety was genuinely at risk.

A court hearing was officially scheduled for four weeks later.

That night, my father Dan unexpectedly called me for the first time in twelve years.

He pleaded with me to reconsider the donation, claiming the doctors had advised them that two kidneys were absolutely necessary.

I explained to him that Brenda had completely fabricated that entire story.

I told him the transplant surgeon confirmed double donation was illegal.

He went dead silent on the line as the horrible reality set in.

I walked out of that hospital knowing she wouldn’t stop, but I had no idea just how far she was willing to go to destroy my life—should I have called the police right then?
