The Fiancee’s Suspicion
Let’s talk about my brother’s fiance. She’s been around for about 2 years.
A few weeks ago, we had a family get together at my parents’ house. We were all hanging out when she spotted an old photo of me, my friend, and her husband.
Curiosity peaked, she asked who the woman was. I explained that it was Lily’s mom, but I could see the wheels turning in her head.
She got this odd quiet look on her face as she stared at the picture. I thought nothing of it at the time.
Fast forward to last week, and suddenly my brother’s fiance comes strutting up to me. She was waving a DNA test like it was some groundbreaking evidence.
I was completely confused until she said this.
“This proves it: you’re raising a dead woman’s affair baby.”
What? I was so caught off guard I actually laughed.
She looked smug, like she had just uncovered the scandal of the century. Apparently, she had taken it upon herself to swab Lily’s DNA without my knowledge, using my brother’s as a comparison.
When the test results came back showing no relation, she jumped to the wild conclusion that my friend must have cheated on her husband. She thought I was unknowingly raising the lov child.
