Young Millionaire Was Stranded on a Road Trip. He Never Expected Love to Find Him There.

Stranded in the Middle of Nowhere

Logan Carter slammed his palm against the steering wheel, cursing under his breath. The sleek black Aston Martin, his pride and joy, sat motionless on the side of a deserted highway. Its engine was completely dead.

He yanked his phone from his pocket, but of course, there was no signal.

“Perfect,” he muttered.

This was supposed to be a quick road trip, a rare weekend away from the chaos of managing his growing tech empire. Instead, he was stranded in the middle of nowhere, miles away from the nearest town.

The sun was beginning to dip below the horizon, casting long shadows across the endless road. His only option was to walk and hope for a gas station or a diner. He locked the car and started down the road.

His designer loafers crunched against the gravel shoulder. After what felt like an eternity, lights flickered in the distance. A small, rustic diner sat on the edge of a quiet town.

Relief flooded him as he pushed open the door. The scent of coffee and fried food wrapped around him. The place was nearly empty, except for an older couple in the corner and a waitress behind the counter.

Her back was turned to him as she scribbled something on her notepad.

“Hey, do you guys have a tow truck service around here?” he asked, running a hand through his dark hair.

The waitress turned around, and Logan’s breath caught in his throat. She wasn’t just pretty; she was stunning. She had sun-kissed skin, piercing green eyes, and long brown hair tied up in a loose ponytail.

Her uniform was simple, but something about her made his pulse quicken.

“You’re out of luck,” she said, arching an eyebrow. “Our only tow truck guy is out of town until tomorrow.”

Logan exhaled sharply, pinching the bridge of his nose.

“Great. Just great.”

“You’re not from around here, are you?” she asked, setting down a menu in front of him.

“That obvious?” He smirked.

She gave him a once-over, eyes lingering on his expensive watch and tailored shirt.

“Yeah. You scream ‘lost city guy.'”

He chuckled, shaking his head.

“Logan Carter. And you are?”

“Olivia Reed.” She crossed her arms. “So, Logan Carter, what exactly are you doing in the middle of nowhere?”

“Road trip,” he admitted. “Supposed to be clearing my head, but now I’m stuck.”

Olivia tilted her head, studying him.

“Well, looks like you’ve got two options. You can sleep in your fancy car, or…” She hesitated for a moment before continuing. “I have a spare room at my place. It’s not a five-star hotel, but it’s better than sleeping outside.”

Logan blinked. He wasn’t used to strangers offering help, especially without expecting something in return. But something about Olivia’s steady gaze told him she wasn’t someone who played games.

“Are you sure?” he asked.

“Yeah,” she shrugged. “Small town hospitality.”

Logan hesitated for only a second before nodding.

“All right. Lead the way.”

As they stepped outside, the night air was crisp and the town was eerily quiet. Olivia’s truck was old but sturdy. When she started the engine, it roared to life.

“You don’t trust people easily, do you?” she asked as she pulled onto the road.

Logan glanced at her. “What makes you say that?”

“You hesitated back there,” she smirked. “Like you thought I might rob you or something.”

He chuckled. “Let’s just say trust isn’t something I give freely.”

“Well, lucky for you, I’m not interested in whatever’s in your wallet,” she teased.
