“You’re nobody!” Millionaire CEO said, walked away. 2 years later, he saw her—with girls by her side

The Rejection and the Departure

Two years after calling her a nobody, the millionaire saw her again. This time, she was with two little girls who looked just like him. Alexa Carter stood in front of the towering glass doors of Stewart International one last time.

Her heart was pounding like a drum inside her chest. A thin envelope was clutched tightly in her fingers. She had rehearsed the moment a thousand times in her mind. She would walk in, calm and brave, and tell Logan the truth.

But nothing could prepare her for the weight of what she carried. Not the paper with the test results inside. Not the fear of being rejected. Not the growing lives within her that changed everything.

The elevator ride to the top floor felt endless. Her reflection stared back at her in polished silver. Her eyes were wide and searching for courage. When the doors opened, she stepped into the office where dreams used to live.

It had once been a place where she believed her future might begin. It was where late nights working beside Logan had slowly turned into something tender. It had felt like something real, or so she had thought.

Logan sat behind a massive desk with papers in perfect order. His suit was crisp, and not a hair was out of place. He didn’t look up at first. He was too busy with whatever deal demanded his attention.

When he finally met her eyes, his face barely flickered.

“Alexa, make it quick. I have a call in 10 minutes.”

She swallowed the tremor in her voice and held out the envelope.

“It’s important. I need you to read this.”

He took it with mild annoyance. He opened it and scanned the single sheet inside. Then, he set it down like it meant nothing.

“What is this supposed to mean?”

“I’m pregnant, Logan. I have been for almost two months,” she said. She was steady despite the pain spreading across her chest like fire.

“They’re yours.”

For a moment, silence fell like a heavy curtain between them. His gaze darkened. Something unreadable passed through his expression before it hardened into something cold.

“You think this changes anything?” he asked, his voice sharp.

“I have a life to build, a company to run. You were a distraction, and now you want to tie me down with this.”

“They’re your children,” she repeated, her voice quieter now.

“I thought you deserved to know.”

He stood abruptly, shoving his chair back.

“You’re nobody, Alexa. And now you expect me to throw everything away because of a mistake. You need to leave. Don’t come back. Don’t contact me again.”

Her fingers curled tightly. Her nails dug into her palm, but she didn’t cry. She just nodded once and turned to leave, her dignity barely intact.

That night, she packed up her tiny apartment, left her job, and disappeared. There was no dramatic scene and no last goodbye. There were no calls, just silence.

She fled to where no one would look for her. She went far from New York and far from the man who saw her only as an obstacle to be removed. In that small, quiet town, she rebuilt her life from dust.

When the twins were born, Alexa wept alone, but not from sadness. The first time she held both girls, blonde and blue-eyed like the man who wanted nothing to do with them, she felt strength she never knew she had. She named them Lily and Lena.
