My Tinder Date Gave Me A “Bare Minimum” List Before We Met — So I Gave Her A Reality Check

Part 1
I thought dating apps were just about finding a simple connection over coffee or drinks.
I certainly didn’t expect to receive an eighteen-point legal contract before I even ordered an appetizer.
I am thirty-four years old and work as an architect in the city.
I make a good living, own my home, and consider myself a pretty grounded guy.
When I matched with Heather on the dating app, I was genuinely excited to see where things might go.
She was absolutely stunning, with a bright smile and photos that made her look adventurous and fun.
Our initial messages were light, easy, and completely normal.
I suggested we meet for dinner at a high-end steakhouse downtown on Friday night.
She agreed immediately, and the plan felt like standard dating procedure.
That illusion shattered when my phone buzzed early Thursday morning.
It wasn’t a cute text or a funny meme to start the day.
It was a message containing a PDF document explicitly titled “bare minimum husband requirements.”
I opened the file while waiting for my kitchen coffee maker to brew.
I honestly assumed it was a joke or a viral trend she was forwarding to be funny.
It was not a joke.
The list contained eighteen highly specific, non-negotiable demands for anyone wishing to date her.
Item number two demanded a financially successful partner with a minimum salary of three hundred thousand dollars a year.
Item number four stated the man must be generous, spoil her constantly, and enjoy luxury fine dining.
I kept reading, my jaw dropping a little lower with every bullet point.
She required someone who was emotionally intelligent, protective, disciplined, and socially respected.
Item seventeen literally demanded a full-time maid and a personal chef because she did not intend to do domestic work.
Another point clarified that the man must handle all pregnancy prevention because she refused to take any hormones.
I scrolled past the requirement for a massive salary, genuinely thinking she had added an extra zero by mistake.
She hadn’t.
She expected frequent luxury vacations to abroad, fully paid for, without any pushback.
She mandated that her partner must not seek social media validation, ensuring she would always remain the absolute center of attention.
She wanted someone who was “sexually disciplined,” a phrase that felt bizarrely clinical for a dating app conversation.
Every single point on the document was strictly about what she would extract from the relationship.
There was absolutely no mention of partnership, mutual growth, or shared sacrifice.
She essentially wanted a billionaire father figure who would push her around in a stroller and buy her expensive treats.
I took a screenshot of the document and sent it to my best friend, Tyler.
My phone rang less than ten seconds later.
Tyler told me I was completely out of my mind if I actually showed up to this date.
He instructed me to block her number, delete the app, and throw my phone into the nearest river.
A rational man would have listened to that excellent advice.
I, however, found myself entirely fascinated by the sheer audacity of this woman.
I needed to see the face of someone who genuinely believed they could hand a stranger an itemized list of life demands.
I wanted to look into her eyes and witness this breathtaking delusion in person.
Friday night arrived, and I walked into the dimly lit steakhouse just before eight.
Heather was already sitting in a leather booth, looking even more beautiful than her curated photos.
She didn’t stand up to greet me or offer a polite smile.
She simply gave me a slow, calculating once-over that made me feel like livestock at an auction block.
The waiter approached immediately to take our drink orders.
Heather ordered the most expensive reserve wine by the glass without even glancing at the printed price.
She then proceeded to order a massive seafood tower for us to share.
I ordered a whiskey neat and settled back into the booth, letting her completely run the show.
She treated the waiter like a mild inconvenience, snapping her manicured fingers when her water glass was half empty.
She actually sent back her first glass of wine because it wasn’t chilled to her exact specifications.
For the first forty-five minutes, she talked exclusively about herself and her high standards.
She complained about the poor quality of the caviar she had eaten at a party the week before.
She criticized the ambient lighting in the restaurant, claiming it wasn’t flattering enough for her cheekbones.
Not once did she ask me a single question about my life, my career, or my personal interests.
She simply assumed I was there to eagerly audition for the role of her personal financier.
I swirled the heavy ice block in my glass, waiting for the perfect moment to interject.
When the waiter finally cleared our main plates, I leaned forward.
I kept my voice completely neutral and highly respectful.
“You outlined exactly what you expect from a partner in extreme detail in that document you sent me,” I said quietly.
“So, I have to ask, what exactly is it that you bring to the table in return?”
The temperature at our table instantly dropped by ten degrees.
Heather bristled, her perfect posture stiffening as if I had just insulted her entire family lineage.
She stared at me with wide, thoroughly indignant eyes.
“I am the prize,” she stated flatly.
I didn’t blink, and I certainly didn’t back down from the stare.
I pushed a little harder, asking about her career, her passions, and her own ambitions.
She shifted uncomfortably in her seat, playing aggressively with her linen napkin.
She mumbled something vague about working as a part-time personal trainer at a small boutique gym.
I asked for clarification on her actual financial independence.
She defensively admitted that she makes less than ten thousand dollars a year.
She scoffed, tossing her dark hair over her shoulder in a heavily practiced motion.
“A man who makes that kind of money shouldn’t care about what his wife earns,” she snapped.
“He should just want to provide for his family and keep his woman happy at all times.”
“That sounds less like a marriage and more like an adult adoption,” I replied smoothly.
She insisted that her lack of income didn’t matter because her physical presence alone was worth the financial investment.
She truly believed that a man should be honored to fully fund her existence simply because she was highly attractive.
The waiter approached our quiet table and gently set the black leather checkbook down between us.
Heather didn’t even glance at it, keeping her furious eyes locked firmly on my face.
She leaned back against the plush booth, crossing her arms defensively.
She was entirely expecting me to blindly finance her delusion right then and there.
I reached into my jacket, pulled out the exact same list she had sent me, and placed it next to the leather checkbook.
